We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to join our team on the Rolls-Royce contract at Inchinnan, where you'll be the first line of defense in protecting our client's people, property, and assets.

About the RoleAs a Security Officer, you will be responsible for delivering top-quality security services in strict accordance with the site's Assignment Instructions (AI's) and adapting to any changes to maintain the highest level of safety and service. Your vigilance will help us exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strengthen our partnership with Rolls-Royce, ensuring contract retention.
Key Responsibilities
-Operations:
-Comply with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements under the guidance of the Security Account Manager.
-Perform tasks as outlined in the Assignment Instructions, keeping yourself updated on any amendments.
-Suggest improvements to enhance the service level and take ownership of delivering high standards.
-Maintain compliance with statutory legislation and industry requirements by securing and wearing a frontline licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and a CCTV PSS SIA Licence.
-Training and Development:
-Complete all required competency training and embrace ongoing professional development.
-Use technology to advance your skills and stay current in the industry.
-Keep your security licence up-to-date by renewing it at least 16 weeks before it expires.
-Security and Health & Safety:
-Actively monitor the environment, reporting any Health & Safety concerns immediately.
-Respond swiftly and effectively to any security threats or changes in the surroundings.
-Maintain a professional demeanor in challenging situations, taking appropriate action as needed.
-Accurately document incidents and follow up through the Incident Report process.
-Stay committed to schedules and uphold a high standard of service to both Mitie and Rolls-Royce.
-Carry out check calls at the scheduled times and contact emergency services when necessary.
What We're Looking For
-Experience: Previous experience in security is essential.
-Licensing: A valid SIA License is required, and holding Security Clearance (SC) is advantageous.
-Skills: Ability to follow procedures, adapt quickly to changes, and think on your feet.
