Summary
Reviewing medical records and producing an accurate summary of the patients medical history. Read coding the information into the practice clinical system. We receive patient correspondence electronically and in paper form. All correspondence is scanned on to DOCMAN and forwarded to the medical summariser. Patients medical records are then updated accordingly in the EMIS system. Should there be action required, you will forward via the system to the appropriate clinician. This may be a GP, nurse or the pharmacy team. Streamlining the flow of clinical correspondence through the organisation reducing the number of letters a GP needs to process- where there is uncertainty, it will be forwarded to a clinician for safety. The post holder should recognise the importance of effective communication within the team. The post holder will strive to maintain quality within the practice. We are a large practice and recieve a high number of patient correspondencfe. With this role comes responsibiluity of ensuring patiens medical records are up to date and accuarate to ensure clinicians can treat patients accordindly.
