Summary

Carbon 60 is looking to recruit a Construction Site Supervisor for its leading construction clients based in Minehead

Working hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday

Pay rate is £340 per day CIS

This project is due to start on 28th October 2024 and last 7 weeks

Your role will entail

Safety Management:

Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures on-site.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
Provide safety training to workers and ensure the use of proper safety equipment.

Project Planning and Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers to develop project timelines and schedules.
Coordinate the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Ensure that materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time.

Quality Control:

Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Conduct inspections to identify defects or issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality control measures.

Resource Management:

Manage labour resources effectively, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
Coordinate with procurement teams to order materials and supplies as needed.
Monitor and manage the use of equipment and machinery on-site.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

Monitor daily progress against the project schedule and report any delays or issues to the project manager.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including daily activity reports and work logs.
Prepare progress reports for project stakeholders as required.

Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for communication between on-site personnel, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Conduct regular meetings with the project team to discuss progress, issues, and objectives.
Communicate any changes to project plans or specifications to relevant parties.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.
Troubleshoot technical problems related to construction activities.
Implement solutions to minimise disruptions and keep the project on track.

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate records of all construction activities, including permits, approvals, and change orders.
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and permits.
Assist with the preparation of project documentation for final inspections and closeout.

Cost Management:

Monitor project expenses and identify opportunities to reduce costs or improve efficiency.
Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
Assist with the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for future projects.

Team Leadership and Development:

Provide leadership and guidance to on-site personnel, including training and mentoring.
Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

You will require

  • CSCS card
  • SMSTS
  • A background in civils construction
