We are looking for a H-VAC Bias Engineering Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and monitoring of all F-GAS & AHU equipment within the primary manufacturing site here at Glaxo Smith Kline Irvine . You will manage the onsite team, ensure schedules and programs are followed, and maintain high standards. Building strong client relationships and conducting regular quality audits are key responsibilities.

You should be capable of delivering to the highest level of service for the client. Answering queries, overseeing planned PPM/compliance works and keeping the client informed of site activities. You will be assisting contractors and sub-contractors and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations and completing all work-related documentation accurately and on time.

You should be capable of having a flexible approach to work and working hours, with a pro-active and positive approach to work. You will be expected to effectively prioritize your own workload whilst assisting other engineers/staff with their duties as required.

The ideal candidate would be qualified at a SVQ/NVQ level with experience within a maintenance / facilities management environment. You should be committed to the delivery of excellent customer service. You should have a good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation and building Statutory Compliance and be able to apply this to the role. It is essential you can carry tools and equipment by hand of up to 20kg, be able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment, work at heights, are available to join a call out rota, and hold a full UK driving license.

A proactive approach to client liaison, detailed knowledge of site engineering services, and enforcing risk management procedures are required. You will review service performance, support best practices, and complete work-related documentation accurately. Investigating infrastructure issues, coordinating plant/system connections, and ensuring staff have the necessary tools are part of your duties.

Compliance with safety regulations, conducting site inspections, and updating the asset register are also essential. Availability for scheduled and unplanned weekend work is required.

Main Duties

-Routine PPM tasks in accordance with the SFG20 framework.

-Reactive maintenance and electrical repairs or Air conditioning repairs as required.

-Minor new works and complete required certification as necessary.

-Attend site meetings or training when required.

-Proactive when on site.

-Willing to undertake other duties in line with contract deliverables.

-Cooperate with other Mitie disciplines for the provision of multi-discipline services where required.

-Procure materials and equipment to carry out works through the Supervisor or Manager.

-Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration.

-Supporting contract mobilisation and change management.

-Maximize the use and compliance to the mobile technology (Smartphone).

-Adherence and promotion of the company and department mission vision and values.

-Assist the site team in ensuring that all Statutory and Legislative requirements are achieved/adhered to for the site.

-Ensure clients operational procedures are always adhered to.

-Obtain appropriate authorization for access into restricted areas from the client's representative as and when required.

-Complete risk assessments and worksheets for works undertaken and obtain authorization from the Clients representative.

What we are looking for
-You will have experience of maintenance, testing and fault finding on a variety of equipment including HVAC systems and have the below qualifications:

-NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning and Small Refrigeration.

-City & Guilds Refrigeration and Air-conditioning (7189) Level 3

-City & Guilds Refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump systems (6090) Level 3

-F-Gas Category 1

-C&G 236 Part 1 & 2.

-BS7671 Electrical Regulations.

-C&G 2391 Electrical inspection and Testing (desired).

-Will consider NVQ& SVQ level 3 candidates that have a proven working knowledge of H-Vac Equipment



-You will ideally be a time served service engineer in an Air Conditioning position and have experience with packaged or air handling units and equipment within a Commercial Environment.

-No previous supervisory experience is necessary, on the job training will be provided as well as external training such as IOSH/NEBOSH

-This position is a static vacancy, although a full UK driving licence is required due to use of pool vehicles, currently no permanent vehicle will be supplied with this role.
