Summary
G R Employment Ltd are looking for a Courier Driver in our Cleveland site TS17 9NT and as the face of our Company a Courier is responsible for the daily delivery and collection of shipments to and from our customers, enhancing the customer experience at every stage. The Courier role is key to ensuring that the company principles and ethos are demonstrated at all times, ensuring that the service provided to customers is delivered with speed, passion and a can-do attitude. You will be expected to achieve excellent customer service which requires flexibility, the ability to work under pressure and establish new relationships quickly and effectively.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am start to finish, overtime will be paid at time and a half after 45 hours this is a temporary position
As a courier driver, you will be measured upon customer satisfaction and completed time definite deliveries and collections. As a frontline representative for the company, you will be required to complete all tasks in a customer focused manner. You will be required to demonstrate excellent planning and organization skills to prioritise work in order to meet customer’s requirements. You will work on an assigned geographical route, however, may be asked to change your route from time to time to meet business needs.

Physical demands – Be physically able to handle shipments while correctly following manual handling processes
To project a high quality image both internally and externally and provide the highest quality service to our customers at all times
Demonstrate the ability to think fast and solve problems without negatively impacting our customers or the business
Ability to identify and report through the correct channels any sales/development opportunities.
Accurately record working and driving hours to comply with road transport regulations.
Complete daily safety checks, safe loading / securing load of vehicle, maintenance, legislative / regulations and adherence to company driving standards
Scanning and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met, excellent planning and organizational skills and the ability to make good decisions and work under pressure
Adherence to all relevant operational policies
Comply with all applicable security procedures and bring any potential security breaches or concerns to the attention of their supervisors
ensure ID passes are worn at all times
Hold a shared responsibility for own development and willingness to attend training courses that will be required from time to time
Complete multiple deliveries and collections of shipments of a variety of shapes, sizes and weights
Maintain a high level of attention to detail
Work within your service centre team to deliver expected results
Ensure correct completion of Customer data and documentation
Sort and prioritise workload (including multiple route sort) to ensure time commitments are met.
Check for 'cash on delivery' packages and ensure all monies are collected.
Achieving targets in productivity, service, compliance and commercial.
Safety and security: Adhere to country laws and regulations, company and third party rules and standards.
Adhere to customs / import / export procedures.
All employees engaged in activity on behalf of International (UK) Ltd are to comply with all applicable security procedures
All employees are to bring any potential security breaches or concerns to the attention of their supervisors
Ensure customer needs are met through time efficient deliveries and collections
A professional interest for Safety and Security of yourself, colleagues, customers and the general public.
Identifying and communicate sales opportunities, business at risk, competitor activity, and support new and existing customers
Full UK driving license and 2 years commercial driving Experiance for insurance reasons
Experience in a multi drop courier role advantageous (peferred)
Experience in a frontline, customer facing role (peferred)
Professional driving experience required due to insurance reasons
Security Training will be given when required
