Job objectives and responsibilities

Forge Business Resilience





Global Incident and Emergency Response

o Assess impact to employees, assets, operation and reputation.

o Provide high level security briefings to security management.

o Invoke IMT liaison/coordination, as per the agreed process.

o Produce and disseminate reports throughout the life cycle of the incident.

o Where required, support IMT by issuing emergency communications to staff

o



Intelligence & Reporting

o Actively monitor security incidents to determine potential impact and maintain an awareness of strategic trends throughout key regions.

o Collect, analyse, and interpret complex security- and incident-related data.

o Produce and distribute incident reports.

o Phone and email communications with internal customers.

o Be aware of the current threats and challenges faced by the business.

o Assist in producing regular intelligence reports in collaboration with the intelligence analyst

o Providing low level intelligence assessments obtained from risk service providers and open source.

o Liaison with intelligence analyst around ongoing events and potential impact to LSEG



Protect our People



Travel Security

o Monitor for travel alerts and escalation to management, where necessary.

o Assist travellers following incidents or significant developments.

o Direct liaison with 3rd party providers for travel tracking and traveller assistance.

o Deliver travel security risk assessments for staff travelling to high risk destinations.



Event Security

o Monitor and report updates during global LSEG events.

o Communication support with on-site security teams.

o Incident response and escalation support.



Create a Safe Workplace



Physical Security

o Conduct all security operational tasks in accordance with PSOC Assignment Instructions, Policies and Standard Operating Procedures

o

o Support of site-based security operations (e.g. building evacuation)

o In extreme circumstances, the individual may be required to operate physical access control systems as part of the BCP arrangement

o Assisting with investigations, when required.



Relationships & Communications

o Be at all times knowledgeable of all senior site representatives and other key stakeholders

o Develop strong relations with internal clients globally

o Be prepared to give briefings to senior managers on security incidents during live events



Main duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing security operations in order to help the wider security team protect our organizations people, property, information and reputation. This is a global role with one of the key aspects being the monitoring and response to incoming information and alerts from intelligence sources and security systems. You will be responsible for the management and administration of various security systems, reporting tools and databases. The operative will ensure that tactical intelligence and crisis management support is delivered in a timely and accurate manner using the appropriate security communication methodology



Person Specification

Education & Experience



Essential

o Fluent in verbal and written English coupled with excellent communication skills.

o Minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent)

o Able to communicate effectively with all levels of business, internal and external

o Good IT skills including ability to use all MS Office applications

o Report and assessment writing

o Full 5 year checkable employment / academic history



Desirable

o Degree or equivalent

o Bilingual experience working in a similar role, within a corporate or government organization

o Use of intelligence management systems with intelligence monitoring at a tactical level

o Possession of valid frontline SIA license

o Knowledge of CCTV and Access Control systems

o First Aid at Work qualified

o Knowledge of data protection and privacy law

· Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;

· Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;

· Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;

· Report actual and suspected security incidents;
