Summary

Job Title: Credit Controller
Hours: 35 hours per week

Key Purpose of the Role:
As a Credit Controller within the Sales Ledger team at United Response, you will play a vital role in managing the credit control function. You will be responsible for the timely collection of outstanding payments across a diverse ledger of high and low-value accounts while maintaining a high level of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and collect outstanding payments efficiently to support cash flow maintenance.
  • Analyse and communicate issues quickly to team members and external contacts.
  • Present complex financial information effectively, tailoring your communication to suit various audiences.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure deadlines are met and debt collection momentum is maintained.
  • Collaborate constructively with the Sales Ledger team to resolve workload challenges.
  • Organize information and maintain filing systems in an accessible and timely manner.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Commit to achieving results in line with agreed benchmarks.
  • Gain an understanding of various funding and income sources (training will be provided).

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong knowledge of credit control and its relationship to cash flow management and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information concisely and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
