Summary
Main Responsibilities Working in accordance with IHGs values, policies and procedures, the HCA will provide high quality care to patients by Supporting with setting up and packing away the clinical and recovery rooms at the start and finish of the day. Assisting the patient and attending to their physical comfort before, during and after their procedure. Performing and reporting clinical observation of a patients temperature, pulse, respiration rate and blood pressure (following completion of appropriate training). Observing and reporting changes in a patients condition to the Registered Practitioner or Clinician. Communicating effectively with patients, ensuring patient understanding, comfort and well-being. Recording patient information accurately and in a timely fashion using manual or computer systems and maintaining the confidentiality of that information. Assisting in maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Assisting with maintaining of stock levels, ensuring replacement stock is ordered. Taking responsibility for own development and learning Ensuring we deliver the best care possible by always looking for things we can improve on and reporting any adverse incidents. Assisting the clinician and the patient in the Outpatient clinic.Performing pre-list checks and ensuring the documentation is available i.e. ICP and X-rays
