Summary

1.0 FTE Lecturer in Adult ESOL (19+)
36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£32,732 - £39,096 per annum

We are looking to appoint an inspiring and enthusiastic full-time lecturer to teach in our Adult ESOL provision.

You will have a proven track record for outstanding delivery in teaching, learning and assessment within ESOL and preferably experience of working with adult learners. Alongside delivering City & Guilds ESOL qualifications, you may also deliver a small range of short courses to the same students alongside their main course such as Employability Skills, Living & Working in the UK, Basic Digital Skills). A base knowledge of these would be useful along with a willingness to help the wider team develop the ESOL course offers.

You will have demonstrable experience in high quality student support, curriculum development and blended learning delivery. You must demonstrate a good understanding of adult learning context and the motivations and barriers facing students.

The successful candidate will be working with a small team of professionals and will be responsible for course leadership and internal quality assurance so familiarisation with the awarding body’s course outline and assessment guidelines (City & Guilds) is essential. The position will include two evening classes per week.

Working with our ESOL learners is highly rewarding and there is a great sense of teamwork within the department, as well as the wider Area team.

For an informal discussion regarding this post, please contact Frances.WintjesClarke@ccn.ac.uk.

Closing date: Sunday 10 November 2024 at Midnight
