The clinical priorities for the students and their families registered with Leeds Student Medical Practice include mental health and wellbeing, sexual and reproductive health, as well as detection and ongoing care of long-term conditions that commonly affect young adults. Leeds Student Medical Practice is proud to hold the Gold Pride in Practice award for excellence in health care for LGBTQ+ people. Leeds Student Medical Practice is committed to education and training of health care professionals. This involves qualified doctors undertaking additional training to becoming GPs and hosting student nurse placements.
