Summary
Duties
- To prepare and cook meals according to the menu and recipes provided
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
- Assist with inventory management and notifying our head cook of any items which needs to be ordered.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook and kitchen assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of IDDSI, food modification and Allergens
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
