- We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student with special educational needs in an Alternative Provision setting.
- This role involves implementing individualised education plans, assisting with academic tasks, and fostering the student's social and emotional development, while maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one support for a student with special educational needs.
- Implement individualised learning plans as directed by teachers and SENCO.
- Assist with both academic and personal development tasks.
- Support the student's social and emotional needs to promote engagement.
- Ensure the learning environment remains safe, supportive, and inclusive.
- Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs.
- Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the learning needs and styles of individual students.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Training in behaviour management strategies.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and inclusive education practices.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Full-time, temporary position based in a classroom or Alternative Provision setting.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff.
- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies.
- All applicants must have the appropriate qualifications and experience for this role.
- This role offers statutory holiday pay inclusive in the daily rate.
- There is potential for this temporary role to become permanent at a later date.
