Junior Crime and Intelligence Analyst Job Overview
-An opportunity has arisen within the M&S Crime and Intelligence team for a Junior fraud analyst to support the team in identifying, investigating and prosecuting fraud within the M&S business.



Main Duties

-Analyse crime trends with a particular focus on fraud related offences.

-Identify and develop intelligence to support the effective management of security resources.

-Support the Identification of POI's and OCG's that pose a threat to the clients business.

-Support end to end case management with the objective of securing criminal justice outcomes.

-Support the creation of intelligence products to identify risk and vulnerabilities to our client's retail operations and wider estate.

-Promote intelligence sharing with internal and external stakeholders including law enforcement and security partners.

-Actively engage with internal and external customers to fully understand operational requirements and promote effective crime prevention strategies.

-Work and communicate with other support functions as appropriate to ensure workflow is effective and delivers the right output in the right timescales.

-Other time critical tasks as directed by the client and management.

-Ensure compliance with GDPR and Company and Client quality standards.

What we are looking for
-Highly motivated individual with a willingness to learn new skills and actively contribute to the development of new ideas.

-Proficient user of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, and use of crime intelligence databases.

-Experience in data analysis and report writing.

-An understanding of organised acquisitive crime or loss prevention within retail and distribution.

-Ability to build and maintain relationships with a strong teamwork ethic.

-Experience of working within a demanding fast-paced and controlled environment.

-Strong communication and customer service skills both verbal and written.

-Reliable, flexible and discreet.

-Solid organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and achieve tight deadlines.

-A positive attitude and ability to deal with pressure professionally.

Desirable skills and experience
-Law enforcement/Fraud investigation background.

-Experience of producing evidential investigations.

-Familiar with the UK Intelligence Model.

-Ability to work remotely as and when required.
