We are currently working to recruit a Production Supervisor / Manager for our Irlam facility.

As part of the Management Team you will report into the GM directly and have responsibility for management of all production processes, machinery, equipment and production employees, whilst satisfying customer demand.

You’ll need to be a true leader, leading by example, effectively managing production and stores operatives, in order to meet and exceed customer needs, in terms of cost, quality and delivery.

Production Manager Responsibilities

• Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
• Overseeing stock control processes
• Creating and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules
• Working with the Admin team to understand parts deliveries and product requirements.
• Managing stock-take procedures
• Implementing all the company’s factory procedures from Good-In through to Dispatch and ensuring policies including ISO9001:2015 procedures are followed.
• Implement 5S or other methodology to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all production related activities, and improve working conditions.
• Implementing QC procedures in conjunction with the Engineering Manager
• Communicating production issues to senior management and wider team.
• Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control whilst implementing, maintaining and monitoring KPI’s relating to this
• Training and coaching factory & stores staff
• Implementing/maintaining safety, health, environment and quality requirements
• Ensure Company values and ethos is understood and adhered to.

Requirements
• Experience of leading a small team (5+)
• Strong leadership including implementation of day to day production processes
• Strong communicator at all levels with the ability to mentor, coach & develop others
• Able to drive efficiencies whilst maintaining product quality & keeping costs down
• PC Literate (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Proven ability to implement and drive change
• Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
• 5 years' experience in manufacturing
• Experience of ISO & QC.
