Summary


Production Operative - Leighton Buzzard, LU7

We are recruiting Production Operatives to join our client for an immediate start our client manufacturers building materials.

Shift & Pay Details:
Metric
Hours - rotating shift

week 1 - 6.00am - 6.00pm Tuesday to Thursday,
week 2 - 6pm - 6am Monday to Thursday.
Pay rate - £12.32 per hour + 18% shift allowance (So effectively £14.54 per hour for both shifts).
Overtime available on Friday at X 1.5 and then Saturday and Sunday at X2.

Temporary with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work safely, following all health and safety guidelines, including proper lifting, wearing PPE, and reporting any equipment defects.
* Help maintain factory machinery and vehicles.
* Ensure the production of high-quality products by regularly inspecting for defects and ensuring only quality products go into stock.
* Keep work areas clean and organised using 5S principles.
* Assist with daily cleaning tasks.
* Adhere to environmental policies (ISO 14001) and ensure proper waste disposal.
* Be flexible with tasks and shifts as required to meet production targets.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, sharing ideas to improve production processes.

Qualifications & Skills:
* Good timekeeping, attendance, and flexibility.
* Self-motivated, with a team-focused attitude.
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
* Able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills and awareness of health and safety.
* Willingness to learn new tasks and undergo training for different machines.
