School Support Assistant - fixed term until 30/04/2025
Forrester High School

Salary: £23,651 - £23,857 (pro rata for part time and sessional)
Hours: 33.42 per week, 40 weeks sessional

Monday to Friday 08:00-15:35, and Friday 08:00-13:15.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised person to join our busy team. The role will include providing administrative support to teaching staff across the school.

The role will also involve working in our busy Welfare provision, reception duties, putting up display work, reprographics and manual handling.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a busy office environment and demonstrate a flexible approach to supporting the school, and be committed to providing a high level of service

They will also be competent users of ICT and have knowledge and experience of using databases, spreadsheets and word documents. Excellent communication skills and experience of working to tight deadlines is essential.

Candidates will be required to provide first aid and administer medication as appropriate. A suitable qualification in first aid or experience in this area along with a willingness to undertake any necessary training is desirable.

Forrester High School is a state of the art PPP school opened in January 2010. All classrooms are fully equipped to a very high standard and teaching classrooms all have access to an interactive whiteboard.

Since 2012, the school has rolled out iPads to certain year groups to help improve their learning in the classroom and at home. As a 1:1 computing school, all teachers and assistants have the latest Apple technology which includes iPads and there are Apple TV’s in every classroom.

Sports facilities are exceptional and include Games Halls, Gym, Swimming Pool, Fitness Suite, 3G and 2G artificial pitches as well as conventional grass pitches for both rugby and football.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
