Summary

IT Business Change Analyst Opportunity (Permanent)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and organised IT Business Change Analyst to join the Group Informatics team at Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT).

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated staff, willing to deliver and model our values and behaviours.

You will join a growing, motivated, and supportive team and will be well placed to develop your skills and knowledge.

You will be experienced in the development of business cases, applying budgeting, benefits tracking & demand management principles and the application and appreciation of project finances, risk and issue and dependency management within projects.

Please read the Person Spec and the Job description in detail to assess whether or not you meet the essential criteria for teh above role before submitting an application. If you have applied for this role recently and not been invited to interview it is highly unlikely that your application will be successful this time round.

This is a busy and rewarding role in a team which supports the transformation of services through the utilisation of technology in accordance with trust-wide business requirements. Your application must be able to demonstrate that you have a sound understanding of business change processes, have strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills, advanced IT skills, detailed knowledge of Business Modelling and Analysis and a broad technical understanding of the application of IT.

As the IT Business Change Analyst, you will be responsible for determining and implementing future requirements through the analysis and review of systems and processes. You will be required to work in a cross functional team, and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to address and resolve project requirements (including managing issues, conflicts and competing demands).

You will lead the detailed design and requirements phases for small to medium projects; identifying where improvements and efficiencies can be gained and driving forward the requirements from business cases to implementation and post project review.

You need to be flexible, committed and friendly. You will enjoy understanding clinical and operational processes. You will be able to meet deadlines effectively and manage your own workload.

MFT is one of the largest NHS Trusts in England with a turnover of £2.8bn & is on a different scale than most other NHS Trusts. We’re creating an exceptional integrated health & social care system for the 1 million patients who rely on our services every year.

We set standards that other Trusts seek to emulate so you’ll benefit from a scale of opportunity that is nothing short of extraordinary.

We’ve also created a digitally enabled organisation to improve clinical quality, patient & staff experience, operational effectiveness & driving research, and innovation through the introduction of Hive; our Electronic Patient Record system which launched in September 2022.

We’re proud to be a major academic Research Centre & Education provider, providing you with a robust infrastructure to encourage and facilitate high-quality research programmes. What’s more, we’re excited to be embarking on our Green Plan which sets out how MFT continues to play its part in making healthcare more sustainable.

At MFT, we create and foster a culture of inclusion and belonging, provide equal opportunities for career development that are fair, open, and transparent, protecting your health and wellbeing and shaping the future of our organisation together.

To find out more about the key responsibilities and the specific skills and experience you’ll need, take a look at the Job Description & Person Specification attachments under the ‘Supporting Documents’ heading. So that you’re even more equipped to make an informed decision to apply to us, you’ll need to take time to read the ‘Candidate Essentials Guide’that sits with the Job Description and Person Specification. This document provides you with details about the Trust, our benefits and outlines how ‘we care for you as you care for others’.
