Summary


Are you an experienced programme management professional with extensive expertise in primary care? We're seeking a dynamic leader to join our team as theAssistant Director for Primary Care Contracting and Oversight.



The Deputy Director for Primary Care Transformation will have a strong interface and line management responsibility for the other Assistant Directors, as the role is a key enabler to many of the transformational projects within the portfolio. The Deputy Director for Primary Care Transformation will have a direct reporting line to the Regional Director for Primary Care and Public Health commissioning. The Deputy Director will need to provide line of sight on programme and project delivery across our portfolio, and will need to think and act strategically and proactively to ensure the broad portfolio of programmes remain aligned and silos in delivery are minimised.

Key Responsibilities:
• Primary Care Commissioning Assurance.
• PMO Maturity Development.
• Data Strategy Development.
• Team Development and Relationship Management.
• Financial Management.

Primary Care commissioning assurance:
• Lead the assurance function for Primary Care commissioning activities, both retained and delegated, putting in place effective mitigation and action to address risks, issues and concerns.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders in respective ICBs and provide the right-level of information to the Portfolio Director.



Data strategy development:
• Lead the development of the INP data strategy to improve regional and ICB oversight on project delivery and outcomes, and decision-making capabilities at all levels of the organisation.
• Work with national and ICB counterparts to ensure that the strategy is part of system, regional and national thinking, avoiding silos and duplication of efforts.

Team development and relationship management:
• Encourage others and listen to other points of view. Establish a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Act as a role model for other members of the workstream and team as a whole, demonstrating the core values of the organisation and benefits of matrix working.
• Contribute to the development of the business of NHS Employers and business development opportunities as they arise.
• Ensure team activity fits within the strategic direction of the organisation and the priorities outlined in the business plan and aligns to the organisational values.
