42.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, All year round

Salary starting from £30,940.00 per annum

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our dynamic team. The Room Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day running of their designated room the Little learners (2-3year olds), leading a team of practitioners to deliver exceptional care and education. You will play a key role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment while ensuring compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and other relevant regulations.

As Room Leader, you will also be responsible for planning and leading activities, ensuring the well-being of all children in your care, and developing strong relationships with staff, parents, and external professionals.

About us:

Cherryvale was established in May 1998 so celebrated an amazing 25 years last summer! The nursery boasts an impressive building which includes 5 different age group rooms, a 0-2’s sensory room, a separate imaginative area, a technology suite for the older children, an on-site kitchen for catering and 2 large separate outdoor spaces for the older and younger children. The Nursery is open from 7:30-18:00 and we are easily commutable to as are close to 2 train station, Ash Vale and North Camp and there are also good bus links close by.

Main responsibilities as Nursery Lunch Time Assistant include:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

Requirements and Skills for Nursery Lunch Time Assistant:

  • Full and Relevant Level 2 / Level 3 Childcare Qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - desirable
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
