Main Purpose of Role
Nottinghamshire Police are seeking a Digital Multimedia Evidence Specialist to be the departmental lead and support staff competency in video editing, 3D modelling, animation, and graphic design. They will be responsible for creating departmental graphics, animation presets, training resources and workstreams in 3D design. They will attend crime scenes to perform high tier 360 re-construction and use 3D modelling technology to recreate accurate representations of scenes, individuals (body mapping), and pertinent objects, providing critical insights and enhancing the investigative process.
The successful candidate will work alongside another Digital Multimedia Evidence Specialist, two Technical Managers and a team of Forensic Video Practitioners to provide a complete digital multimedia service to Nottinghamshire Police covering all aspects of imagery, video, and audio evidence. This will include but will not be limited to, CCTV, mobile phone footage, body worn video recordings, 360 scene reconstructions, vehicle dash camera recordings and video recorded interviews.
Key Skills & Experience Required
Candidates will hold a degree or be able to demonstrate work related qualifications pertaining to their specialist field and digital multimedia or have equivalent work-based experience. They should hold certifications in a range of digital multimedia and / or digital forensic products with accompanying experience. They must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and practical experience in audio/visual technology, industry innovations and current standards relevant to the recovery and processing of digital multimedia.
The role works a shift pattern working 50% of weekends and a number of evening shifts.
