Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Driving the analysis, design, and implementation of technical solutions to enable the automation, deployment and operation of significant cloud infrastructure taking a value-based approach to prioritisation.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure that is scalable, resilient, open, efficient, secure, and cost-effective.
- Stays up to date with technological advances using modern standards to develop the strategy and approach of Digital infrastructure services, in particular support of automation and testing.
- Responsibility for implementing strategies to solve problems within complex technical scenarios and providing solutions with end-to-end ownership to final resolution.
- Complete technical tasks from initial concept through to delivery to the production environment.

Additional Information
This role can be based in Bristol, Swansea, Nottingham, Newcastle, Oldham, Birmingham or Leeds. Your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this.
Digital and Data Profession Pay Framework
This role is part of the Government Digital and Data profession and utilises an enhanced Capability–Based Pay Framework which provides access to a Digital and Data allowance.
The base pay is £40,808. In addition to this, the role includes a Digital and Data allowance of up to £16,592.
The value of allowance awarded will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated through the selection process.
