Summary

Salary: Band C = £71,720 - £78,859 per annum subject to Job Evaluation

• To lead and manage the Regeneration Investment and Housing Service Area in accordance with approved policy and performance criteria and be responsible for resource allocation.
• To provide dynamic leadership and strategic vision to drive forward the transformation agenda and to ensure positive outcomes for all of the communities and residents of Merthyr Tydfil
• To be the Lead Officer in the Service Area and to advise the Corporate Management Team and Members on all matters relating to Regeneration Investment and Housing services.
• To ensure the Service Area meets all current legislative, regulatory, professional and quality standards.
• To contribute to the Council’s Corporate Management Team on strategic and corporate issues.
• To deliver service improvements and efficiencies within the Council’s agreed operational standards.
• To contribute to corporate and cross departmental and/or multi agency working as required.
• To act as advocate for the residents and communities of Merthyr Tydfil, ensuring that their voice is heard and taken into account when developing strategies and delivering outcomes.
