As a Water Hygiene Technician you will play a key role in keeping our Clients and Buildings safe in line with the ACOP and HSG 274. In this role you will be carrying out various monitoring and servicing activities across our client’s property portfolio.

Location: Mobile Northern Ireland
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday 40 Hours
Job Type: Permanent / Full Time

The Water Hygiene Technician will be responsible for:

The monitoring and servicing inspections will involve; temperature testing of water outlets, TMVs, inspection of cold-water storage tanks and hot water storage vessels, water sample collection, showerhead disinfection, and logbook auditing.
Undertake monitoring and maintenance of building water services as part of a Legionella Control Program in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274.
The inspections will be completed utilising a PDA and web-based electronic logbook system.
Undertake other water hygiene related tasks as required including Monitoring, Maintenance and Remediation works.
The role will involve working in a multi-site capacity therefore you must be prepared to travel throughout the region.


About You

Essential Criteria

Computer & IT literate.
Current Full UK Driver’s License
Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role.

Desirable Criteria

City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training.
Demonstrate plumbing qualification, C&G Level 1, 2 or above.
Demonstrate working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (HSC ACoP L8, HSG 274, Water Regulations)
Previous experience in the maintenance, servicing and testing of Chemical Water Treatment services.
