Summary
Are you looking to make a difference to people’s lives in a family feel environment? To work in a rural setting with fresh air and open spaces?
Are you looking for a fresh challenge, where full training is provided?
If the answer is yes, then we would love to hear from you.
This role would provide alternative work for prison officers/armed forces/security roles.
We are seeking a full-time support worker to work 12-hour shifts, to include every other weekend.
Corran Support is situated in rural Worcestershire between Pershore and Evesham. We support young adults with learning disabilities and Autism, living in specialist accommodation, situated in 50 acres of farmland. Tenants have access to animals and horticultural activities, as well as a range of other therapeutic activities.
We are looking for support workers who are compassionate, energetic, resilient, empathetic and wish to make a difference to the lives of the people we support and, whilst it can be challenging, it is a very rewarding role.
Some of the benefits of working for Corran Support are its peaceful countryside setting, free parking, family feel environment, supportive team, enhanced training and career development opportunities, strong leadership, NEST pension scheme and workwear.
You need to be physically fit and capable of carrying out outdoor activities and working with behavioural challenges, as you will be assisting our individuals with tasks on the farm, accessing the community, and helping them to live as independently as possible.
Experience & qualifications are desirable, as all training can be given, but you must be willing to undertake training & QCF qualification.
UK Drivers license is essential.
Hours of work are 08:00-20:00, 12 hour shifts with sleeping shifts available. Full time hours. Pay is dependent on experience.
Working for Corran Support is like working with family, and this is recognised throughout the year. For example, on National Pizza Day there was pizza for all the staff, and we regularly organise team building days and events where staff can talk and socialise. We place emphasis on our team ethic and endeavour to offer a warm, friendly, rewarding career in social care.
This is no ordinary support worker job. If you would like to work somewhere where you are appreciated and supported, get in touch!
