Summary
We are delighted to be supporting our well-established client in recruiting a Facilities/Maintenance Operative to join their friendly team.
They have several storage facilities located across Wiltshire and due to recent expansion, they are recruiting for Facilities/Maintenance Operative for their Corsham site on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time and permanent role and a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly company with progression opportunities available including Forklift training.
The duties of the Facilities Operative will include:
• General maintenance tasks including repairs, basic decoration works, completing like-for-like electrical changes and basic plumbing
• Routine maintenance of equipment and plant under a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule
• Forklift use (full training given)
• Keeping storage areas and main gangways clean and tidy, use of ride-on sweeper
• Collection and processing of cardboard and plastic waste for recycling
• Assembling/dismantling office furniture
• Assembling/dismantling racking storage systems
• Working as part of a team on ad-hoc projects/duties
• Assisting specialist contractors
Candidate requirements:
• Physically fit and able to undertake duties
• Proactive approach, with positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Strong team player
• Quick to learn
• Ability to respond to unforeseen incidents effectively
Days Of Work: Monday - Friday
Hours: 0800-1600
Salary: £24,500.00 per annum
