Summary

This post may include some weekend, bank holiday and weekend working. It will also include working at a number of Community hospitals in the surrounding area so the ability to travel across various Trust sites is essential. To work towards becoming a full-time member of the ultrasound team undertaking a wide range of ultrasound examinations. The post holder will be expected to work alongside qualified sonographers and have regular meetings with the named mentor(s). All scans and reports produced by the trainee sonographer needs to be double checked by a qualified sonographer. Any other reasonable task as directed by line manager commensurate with grade. Attend lectures provided by the University of West England (UWE) as required by the training programme. Be responsible for all necessary coursework and assessments required to pass the ultrasound course as stipulated by UWE. **Please note - Eligibility and Enrolment checks and verification of qualifications will be completed by the Trust and University, and all places are conditional and subject to this confirmation - *Certification will be required. You must be available to start and all the pre-employment checks completed before the course start date in January 2025 - date to be confirmed. As a government requirement to be eligible, all candidates must be a UK resident or have resided in the UK for the past 3 years with the right to remain in the UK.
