Job Title: Yard / Machine Operative
Location: Axbridge, Somerset
Salary: £12.00 per hour to start, hourly rate will increase with completion of on site training
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am – Finish

Duration: Temp to perm

The job

Machine Operation: Operate a variety of machinery including [specific machines like forklifts, loaders, etc.].
Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard organized, clean, and safe at all times.
Material Handling: Load and unload materials, ensuring they are stored correctly.
Quality Control: Inspect and report on the condition of materials and equipment.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.

The candidate

• Previous experience in a yard or machine operative role is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery (forklift certification is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to take initiative.
