Are you reliable, friendly, calm under pressure, trustworthy, conscientious, good communicator and listener, team player, hardworking and open minded?

No previous care experience necessary but must demonstrate a willingness to learn.

Training will be provided by the employer and current team of Support Workers.

Suitable applicants looking for flexible, full-time or part-time work (near Stratford).

WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
Support Workers wanted for an award-wining writer-filmmaker in her early 30's who requires COMPLEX CARE care because she has a Neuromuscular condition and is a full-time wheelchair user, who needs support with London life, work and personal care. This is not a live-in position.

TASKS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

PERSONAL CARE:
- Washing and dressing
- Administering medication
- Hoisting and manual handling
- Support with daily physio

DOMESTIC TASKS:
- Cooking / Cleaning / Laundry / Shopping
- Collecting prescriptions, packages, posting mail etc.

TRAVEL:
- Accompanying to health appointments
- Work meetings e.g. rehearsals, screenings, filming, theatre, cinema, galleries etc.
- Swimming, shopping, trips out of London and travelling abroad

WORKING STRUCTURE AND RATE:
Monday to Sunday. Will work up to 25+ hours flexible per week (more hours available if desired) with shifts ranging from day and overnight shifts.

£16 per hour and £16.50 per hour overnight (8 hours = £132 per night) on a PAYE contract. Which means you’ll be entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave and sick leave.

A valid passport or work permit, a minimum of 2 references and an enhanced DBS check are essential to this post. Applicants will be required to have a current enhanced DBS check or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. The expense for this will be covered by the employer.
