Summary
FIXED TERM 12 MONTH CONTRACT
Are you an experienced Speech & Language Therapist who is passionate about children with complex needs? Are you looking to work as part of a supportive team in a flexible working environment whilst earning HCAS?
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a band 6 Speech and Language Therapists to join our early years team based at St Marks in Maidenhead.
Within this post you will have the opportunity to work as part of an experienced team of therapists in a mix of community settings, early years settings, homes, having independence and autonomy to manage your own caseload.
In your role you will be expected to deliver a high standard of speech and language therapy care to children and young people with developmental and complex needs, therefore for this role we are looking for someone with a real passion for seeing young children reach their potential.
As a service we are committed to the development of our staff and offer ADOS training along with the opportunity to develop Dysphagia competencies.
Our core working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 but we can offer flexibility around this. The role will involve some travel but also leaves room for some home working.
• Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs
• Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting delivery of the CYPIT model and providingsupport to more junior staff
• Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested
• Maintainaccurateand contemporaneous clinical records and provide written therapy plans and reports including contribution to the EHCP Assessment process and tribunals asrequired
• Use the Care Aims care planning approach, impact-based clinical decision making, and associated outcome measures
• Provide specialist clinical care including assessment,diagnosisand interventions, for an earlyyearscaseload

The “must haves” for this role:
• Be a qualified Speech and Language therapist, with experience in assessing and treating 0-5 year olds with developmental and complex needs presentations
• Demonstrate interest in developing paediatric skills in early years and complex needs caseloads
• Hold a full UK driving license, with access to using a vehicle for work purposes
