In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities and personal care while fostering a positive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those they care for.
*Duties*
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support clients in following their individual care plans to meet their specific needs.
- Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the living environment for clients.
*Experience*
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation of clients when necessary.
- A compassionate nature and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential qualities for this role.
