Job Summary:

CarryBags Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Ecommerce Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual eager to kickstart their career in retail tech. As an Ecommerce Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our online operations, ensuring the smooth running of our e-commerce activities across multiple UK-based businesses. With strong organisational skills and a passion for digital retail, you will help drive our online success and grow within the fast-paced world of retail technology.


Responsibilities:

1. Product Management:
- Upload new product listings on eCommerce platforms.
- Ensure product descriptions are accurate, compelling, and up-to-date.
- Maintain product catalogues with current pricing, images, and inventory levels.
- Keep upcoming seasons in mind when suggesting and ordering new products.

2. Order Processing:
- List and promote new products and best sellers across various eCommerce sites.
- Manage inventory by tracking stock levels, reordering items as necessary, and updating listings accordingly.
- Arrange shipment of sold items, ensuring timely delivery, and manage returns when needed.

3. Customer Support:
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via email, chat, or phone.
- Resolve issues related to orders, payments, returns, and shipping.
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers.

4. Administrative Support:
- Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records and documentation related to eCommerce.
- Ensure all online systems are accurate and up to date.
- Perform any other ad hoc admin and office tasks as needed.

5. Marketing and Promotion:
- Implement strategies to increase visibility and sales, such as running promotions or optimising listing keywords.
- Use Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to adapt designs across products.
- Sample new products and designs using various machines.

6. Marketplace Optimisation:
- Support the team with pricing tasks and marketplace optimization strategies.

7. Client Outreach:
- Make regular phone calls to potential customers to promote products and gather feedback.
- Follow up with leads and assist in building customer relationships.

8. Executive Support:
- Provide administrative assistance to the CEO's office, including scheduling, correspondence, and other tasks as needed.
- Help coordinate and prepare for meetings, presentations, and company events.

- Efficient Work Style: Capable of working at a fast pace while meticulously recording all activities.
- Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust to the changing needs of the business.
- Organisation & Detail-Oriented: Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Creativity: A creative mindset is a valuable asset for this role.
- Relevant Experience: Prior experience in eCommerce, retail, or customer service is beneficial.

Note: Initial unpaid internships are available for individuals with little to no experience but who can demonstrate a strong passion and knowledge for the role.


Desirable Skills:

• Prior experience in an e-commerce.
• Experience with task management software.
• Public speaking.
• Public relations.
• Proficiency in French or Spanish.
• Hands-on experience with selling on eBay, Amazon, Etsy.



Principal Statement:

• Position: Ecommerce Assistant, reporting to the Founders & Team Leader.
• Employer Name: CARRYBAGS LTD
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a 1-hour unpaid break per day under a hybrid working pattern.
• Salary: Your annual gross salary will align with the National Minimum Wage (as per your age) starting in November 2024. National Minimum Wage Rates. Salary is paid monthly on the 5th of the following month.
• Holiday Entitlement: Up to 29 days of paid leave per year, including public holidays and any necessary emergency leave.
