About the Group

You will be comfortable engaging with the public and existing foster carers, attending events across Wales to raise awareness of fostering and help exceed the local recruitment target. You will be creating opportunities to engage with existing foster carers to promote ‘word of mouth/carer referral’ recommendations. You will also collate evidence of local recruitment activity and carer referral activity analysing your success in this and the subsequent outcomes to inform future strategy.

You will maintain contact with potential foster carers through the journey from enquiry to approval, sensitively gathering information from prospective foster carers at the early stages and providing information about the fostering task. You will then maintain regular contact and support the initial training and assessment process undertaken by your social work colleagues. You will work predominantly from home, managing the database of potential carers, and keeping colleagues and management updated with relevant information and weekly reporting.

Who are we looking for?
