This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic and committed registered professional to join our Gastroenterology speciality as a trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

In partnership with the University of Nottingham, the successful candidate will be undertaking the Advanced Clinical Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship. During this 3 year programme, you’ll gain valuable work experience, work towards a MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and gain an official Level 7 Advanced Clinical Practitioner apprenticeship standard. You will also develop a clinical portfolio of capability.

Progression to Band 8a will be achieved following successful completion of all academic and clinical competence requirements.

Gastroenterology services at Kings Mill Hospital has a 24 bedded ward with Endoscopy suites at both Kings Mill and Newark Hospitals. The successful candidate will be joining a well organised department providing a wide range of services at specialty and sub-specialty level. We work together collaboratively and supportively, and we are always looking to improve the care for patients with digestive disease across the organisation.

This trainee post will initially be based on the Gastroenterology ward, but the trainee may rotate through different clinical areas in order to gain a range of appropriate experience within the specialty during their period of training. The trainee role on the wards will be supernumerary for the first 24 months.
