Summary


Are you a graduate physiotherapist, looking for an opportunity to develop musculoskeletal skills?

We are recruiting for permanent MSK Physiotherapists (1 in York and 1 in Selby) to join our team, which involves working across the Trust in a range of out-patient departments.

Candidates will contribute to a high standard of physiotherapy across the clinical areas of Musculo-Skeletal and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy out-patients.

These roles offer MSK clinical experience within structured teams, and has good systems of appraisal and peer support. Staff will have a comprehensive induction programme, experience of working in teaching clinics and gyms and our successful community appointment days. The department has an established in-service training process. We are looking for candidates who are not only interested in developing their own clinical abilities but also committed to the development of our service and providing for the needs of our local community.

Applicants are encouraged to provide examples of how they meet the required criteria on their application form.
• To undertake the physiotherapy assessment and management of a designated group of patients within MSK and Orthopaedic outpatients.
• To determine clinical diagnosis/need and physiotherapy intervention indicated.
• To hold responsibility for own caseload, as an autonomous practitioner and to manage this using evidence based/ client centred principles.
• To assess, plan, treat and evaluate patient centred interventions.
• Access to advice and support from a senior staff is routinely provided and clinical work is routinely evaluated.

Candidates will have a diploma/degree in physiotherapy, current HCPC registration, evidence of clinical experience within relevant clinical settings.

All candidates should be able to present information in a clear, succinct and logical manner and should be able to demonstrate the relevance of their previous experiences to the needs of this organisation.
