Summary

You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary therapy team, alongside an Occupational Therapist, Speech, Audiology & Language Therapist, Complementary Therapist and Music Therapist; and will have a Physiotherapy Assistant to support you at each home. We are ideally looking for someone to act as a Lead for this experienced and dedicated therapy team; reporting to our Registered Manager. The multidisciplinary therapy team works in collaboration with a well-resourced, experienced and skilled workforce of nurses, nursing associates and carers to deliver complex, individualised, holistic care to residents of all ages. The homes are well resourced with state-of-the-art equipment and environments, which are conducive to health and wellbeing; and are well-staffed to provide a range of care and therapies to motivate, stimulate and keep the residents safe. You will be given a high degree of autonomy, independence and authority in your personal delivery of the role, within your professional boundaries. You will therefore have a degree of freedom to be creative in how you respond to challenges and manage yourself and the role. You will need to be experienced, confident, self-aware and competent in your practice. In addition, you will be expected to demonstrate and commit to continual professional development, with a strong desire to make a difference to people with a learning disability. For the MDT Lead role, you will also need to demonstrate previous experience in leading and supervising a team; including managing conduct, performance and attendance, with support from our HR Manager and Registered Manager.
