Summary

Job Title: Painter/Body Shop

Location: Blackwood

Salary: £26,775 per annum, this goes up in grades with the top grade earning £29500
+ £4160 working out £30,935 per annum unlimited overtime paid at time and half
with the average earnings is £40-£50k a year (this depends on how much overtime you work)

Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday days shifts, it works on a 3 shift pattern, 2 weeks of days and 1 week of afternoons, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
You get £80 a week for every week as shift allowance including the days. 1 months worth of training before you go onto shifts

Here at The Recruitment Co we are currently recruiting an Aircraft Painter to work for a company based in Blackwood

Main Job roles:

  • Figures mix ratios in order to mix sealants, filler materials, and paint.
  • Applies primer, top coat paint, and sprayed applied coatings to aircraft parts to assure compliance.
  • Performs straight masking operations.
  • Performs minor filling operations related to the cosmetic appearance of the part being worked.
  • Ability to rub down and prepare surfaces prior to application of paint
  • Must be a team player.
  • To support and drive projects and drive Continuous Improvement activities
  • Flexible to business needs and a requirement to work various shift patterns as required
  • Must be able to learn proper scope of work documentation procedures and working knowledge of parts worked within evaluation period.
  • Responsible for the accomplishment and quality of their own work.
  • Able to safely perform company duties under deadlines and handle multiple priorities whilst ensuring the airworthiness of the product and accuracy of documentation and parts control

Required Experience

  • Previous paint experience in an aircraft manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to read
  • manufacturer's specifications, overhaul manuals, and part specific planning.
  • Must have the ability to document, in writing, the work performed on the order.
  • Arithmetic and English (reading, writing) skills and able to follow written instructions with precision and having a high attention to detail
  • Must possess computer skills to access repair documents on the website, use in house applications for production
