Summary
An exciting chance to work for The RSPCA Solent Branch also known as the Stubbington Ark.
We are soon to open a new shop in Greywell shopping Centre and are looking for a dynamic individual to join us in our new venture.
This is retailing with a difference as you have the chance to be creative on the shop floor to coordinating behind the scenes as well as recruiting a band of volunteers to help in the running of the store.
JOB ROLE
As the manager you will ensure the smooth running of the store as well as effectively managing the team of volunteers. You will lead by example and develop the team to maximise income and sales and provide a high level of customer service.
Reporting to your Area Store Manager your role will also involve
Maximising sales whilst dealing with donations that come through the door with proactive stock generation, optimum pricing and store planning.
Take ownership and responsibility for the commercial running of your store including display and merchandising, sales and income, store layout, shop standards.
Maintaining high levels of store presentation and cleanliness.
Recruiting, training and retaining a team of volunteers.
Creative and imaginative retail displays.
Maintaining compliance with Health and Safety, security, admin and HR policies.
Creating relationships with your local community.
The Skills we require are
Experience of a retail environment with either supervisory or management experience.
The ability to multi-task in an ever changing environment
Great customer service skills
Commercial awareness
Able to work independently and effectively
Flexibility to cover in other stores and as this is a new store to be open to the needs of a new store and what it requires in terms of opening hours as we learn our customers shopping times and habits in the shopping centre.
The role is 30hrs per week.
