Nursery Assistant

Salary £14,277.12 for 24 hours- £17,846.40 for 30 hours

40 hours per week

Full Time, Permanent, All year round

The Dulwich Day Nursery & Preschool who are part of the Family First Group are looking for a NurseryAssistant to join their team. Within this role you will be responsible for a designated group of children as a key person and will guide the children through the daily routine, liaise with parents and provide an enabling environment.

For this role you will need to be able to work Tuesday , Thursday and Friday 24- 30 hours

Nursery Assistant main responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
  • Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
  • Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  • Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
  • Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
  • Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
