Job Details Teaching Assistant Level 2 + SEN allowance
The Governing Body of St John’s CE Kearsley Primary School is looking to appoint an excellent educational professional to share our vision and enthusiasm by joining the team of this popular and thriving school.
The role of the Teaching Assistant Level 2 + SEN is to support a child with an EHCP currently within EYFS.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and the Special Educational Needs Team.
You should be able to offer:
Experience of supporting children with SEMH, as well as Speech and Language and
Communication and Interaction delays
A clear understanding of how children learn best and preferably some experience of using
the ELKLAN method
- An understanding of the nurture principles and their application within a primary school setting
- A firm commitment to supporting children in achieving their potential, in spite of their barriers to learning.
- A commitment to parents, home-school links and the wider school community
- Excellent communication skills
