Part time30 hours –year round 9am – 5pm(time term only considered)


We are looking to recruit a qualified Band 6 School Nurse to work as part of the 0-19 team in Bracknell Forest working closely alongside our Health Visiting colleagues. You will be an enthusiastic and qualified school nurse, with a warm personality and great people skills. Willing to undertake relevant training, you will have leadership experience and be able todemonstrateinnovative practice.


This will entail working within the Bracknell Forest area, delivering core and targeted services to children aged 5-19 and their families. The perfect candidate will have the ability to work with other teams and agencies and have a real passion for working with children/young people and families whilst being able to adapt to continuing development and change.

• Delivering schooldrop insessions to a defined number of targeted schools including both primary and senior schools.

• To manage and organise a defined caseload independently, addressing the health needs of children according toevidencebased practice.
• To undertake in depth health assessments for Children in Care, children who are subject to a Child Protection Plan and vulnerable children and workaccordingthe Berkshire LSCB Policies and Procedures asrequired.

• To ensure the most effective use of human and physical resources within the team byappropriate delegationof work and use/application of resources.

• To provide targeted health interventions to children and young people with identified health needs

• To exercise leadership, judgment, and management to ensure excellent clinical practice,maintaininghigh standardsof care.
