Homeline Response Officer

Description
The Homeline Response Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and serenity of our community. This position requires an individual to monitor and respond to a variety of incidents involving our Homeline services, which are designed to support vulnerable residents and ensure their well-being. As a Homeline Response Officer, you will be the first point of contact for residents experiencing emergencies or requiring assistance. Your ability to assess situations quickly and deliver appropriate responses is paramount. You will be trained to handle a variety of scenarios, from health crises to urgent social issues, and to connect residents with the necessary resources. The job requires a compassionate and proactive approach, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, health services, and emergency responders. You will need to work collaboratively with various agencies and community groups to develop strategies that enhance the overall safety and support for those in need. Responsibilities
Monitor and respond to calls for assistance via Homeline services.
Assess emergency situations and deploy appropriate responses.
Coordinate communication between residents, health services, and emergency responders.
Document incidents and follow-up actions for record-keeping.
Provide emotional support and guidance to residents in crisis.
Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and agencies for resource referrals.
Conduct follow-up visits to ensure the well-being of residents after incidents.
Requirements
Proven experience in crisis management or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
Ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with community resources and support services.
Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
