Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Ideal candidates for this role will have experience of working with young people who have a range of special educational and complex needs either in a special school or similar setting, or maybe through a different job role. You will be able to liaise with other professionals in order to carry out recommendations required and also work on your own initiative. A good working knowledge of ICT to be able to effectively support learning and a commitment to training is expected. Further details about the role

As a Senior Teaching Assistant the successful candidate will work with the class teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lesson/work plans as appropriate. You will assist with the development and implementation of individual education and personal care plans, attending to personal hygiene needs and administering medicines. You will be required to lead whole classes during the teacher’s non-contact time and also during the short-term absence of the teacher.
