Summary
The Operational Estates Manager (South Tyneside Hospital) will be professionally accountable and responsible for the day to day management of the Estates Engineering, Specialist Services and Hard FM Admin Departments for Choice Facilities Services based at South Tyneside Hospital. Directly managing Engineering estates officers with responsibility for managing up to 50 staff across multiple sites such as South Tyneside Hospital, St Benedicts Hospice, Clarendon, Palmer Community Hospital and various community premises. The post holder shall provide professional advice to the Estates Manager/Head of Estates to ensure that the Department delivers a comprehensive, effective and compliant facilities management service. The post holder will undertake the duties/responsibilities as defined in Trust and Choice Policies relevant to Engineering Services and will act as the Responsible, Deputy or Authorised Person for a small number of key services as identified within HTM00 Policies and Principles of Healthcare Engineering.
