Summary


Opportunity for a Clinical Lead in Dressing Clinic

Covering CWP West Cheshire Dressing Clinics but main base will be Hope Farm Dressing Clinic.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced RGN to become part of our team in the Dressing Clinic.

We are looking for enthusiastic nurse who has experience and knowledge in wound care and leg ulcer management and will have completed a tissue viability module or willing to complete one.

The successful candidates will be reporting to the Tissue Viability Team leader, delivering evidence-based practice and be able to work independently and autonomously within clinical practice, having oversight of a patient caseload, and also provide clinical leadership to the staff working in the dressing clinics. You will also be supporting the strategic role of developing our Dressing Clinic Service.

Good interpersonal skills are essential as you will be communicating with a wide range of health professionals involved in the patients care. Training and education will also be delivered to staff, patients, and carers.

Travel is an integral part of this post you must be prepared to travel across West Cheshire.



· Provide clinical leadership to the staff working in the central dressing clinic and have clinical oversight, estimated a day a week at other Trust Dressing clinics in Cheshire West.

· Ensure patients receive the right care, by the right person at the right time and place.

· Work collaboratively with the wider health, social care and other third sector agencies to ensure the patients needs are met.

· Placing the patient at the centre of all decisions, reinforcing the concept of a more streamlined patient journey, with minimal avoidable delays, and an emphasis on people achieving independence whilst improving the quality of care.

· Understand the skills required from the dressing clinic team.

· To focus on the delivery of person centred care and encourage self care were possible.

· To provide effective, evidence-based care based on knowledge of relevant evidence, current research, good practice, and policy developments.

· Provide clinical leadership including supervision to the team.

· Provide support to the wider tissue viability service if the need arises.

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
