Hours per week: 14 Wednesday and Thursday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months

The purpose of the role is to be the organisational lead for the development of children and family service innovations by way of proposals/bids/tenders/existing service solutions, to create and deliver unique, differentiated value to promote the brand and create a unique competing space to support the maximisation of income.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with professional colleagues to establish and implement strategies that promote the organisation and able to deliver innovative solutions through our services, including and not limited to evidence informed and evidence based programmes.
Develop proposals, addressing risk, compatibility to our purpose, impact, financial information and size of current or likely future markets.
Being responsible for managing key relationships with external partners, with a view to promoting innovative services.
Leading on negotiations with commissioners, investors and intermediaries in the development of new (social) investment opportunities.
Establishing, maintaining and being responsible for managing cross functional and matrix management relationships with both internal and external colleagues (e.g. Operational Directors,
Finance Managers) to enable the development of opportunities and to foster a culture of innovation at a senior and operational level across the organisation.
Contributing to decision making with regard to priorities for funding through use of voluntary or other financial contributions and to submissions to funders and commissioners to provide services as led by colleagues in Fundraising and Business Development.
Being responsible for commissioning University/academic/independent centres/tools to research and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes and initiatives for investment. Interpret and analyse the outcomes of commissioned research and make recommendations to senior management regarding next steps.

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.

Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite, Mosaic).
