Summary
An inclusive and welcoming primary school located in Brent is currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.
As a SEN TA, you will be working within KS1/Year 1, and some of your day-to-day duties will include:
- Supporting and working 1:1 with key children to reach the targets on their EHCPs
- Providing pupils with a range of learning strategies
- Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities
- Delivering/assisting with the delivery of learning interventions, 1:1 and in small groups
- Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing
- Supporting children with SEND in an inclusive environment
- Closely monitoring the academic and social progress of key children
- Liaising with and giving feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders
You will be working full time, Monday-Friday (8:30am-3:45pm), and this SEN Teaching Assistant role is long-term to last until the end of the academic year in July 2025, making it a very rewarding role as you will be able to see the progress and development your key children have been able to make across the school year thanks to your support. You'll leave every day knowing you've made a real difference.
