This is an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Officer to join within the University’s Head of Court Office on a permanent basis.

In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive support to the Head of Court Office in relation to governance systems and processes in relation to the Animal (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (ASPA).

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the university and establishment, contribute to the work of the AWERB (The Animal Welfare and Ethical Review Body – statutory compliance committee), including acting as Clerk to various Committees, collating Mid-term Reviews, collating PIL information and supporting Home Office Audits. Working with colleagues across the establishment licence, both internal and external to support the governance arrangements of the Standard Conditions.

In addition, the Administrative Officer will undertake various other duties related to the Court Office as required. These duties will involve assisting with general administrative tasks, providing support during projects or events, collaborating with other services/stakeholders as needed, and serving as the Finance officer for the Court Office.
