Your primary role will be to provide a trauma informed and client led support and advice service to victims referred to the team.
You must have previous experience of direct work with victims affected by domestic abuse or safegaurding adults or children. Demonstrate an ability to work with victims in a trauma informed, empowering and supportive way. Have an awareness and understanding of the Duluth power and control methodologies, power differentials and inequalities between men and women and the effects that domestic abuse has on victims and their children. Have effective communication, organisational skills and the ability to work using your own initiative. Have an informed understanding of safeguarding children and adults is essential.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wishes to develop their knowledge and skills in this complex and often challenging area of work. We welcome applications from individuals who are committed, enthusiastic and willing to learn. Training and development is actively promoted and supported within the team.
