Summary
The Role:
• To support a nonverbal 8-year-old boy who loves animals and with a diagnosis of Autism and Global Development Delay to access the community. This is a lone working employed position.
Main Duties:
• Adapting communication style
• Woodland walks
• Swimming
• Prompting personal care
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
• Responsible, reliable and trustworthy
• Respectful of dignity and independence
• Good communication skills and social skills
• Punctual and flexible
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Understanding, adaptable and organised
• Car owner with driving licence, use of own vehicle required and business insurance essential.
Please note that this role may be subject to a DBS check, your employer may also ask for you to supply references.
You must be able to prove the right to work in the UK. No sponsorships are available.
• Hours: 6 hours per week to be worked on a Sunday 10.00-4.00pm (flexibility around this being either a Saturday or Sunday and times). And 8 hours per week during the school holidays (flexibility around this and to be discussed)
• Pay: £12.50 per hour
• Part time
