Summary

As a HLTA, your main responsibilities and duties will include:
- Supporting the teaching and learning process
- Provide care and supervision of pupils within the classroom, within the school and outside of the school
- Physical effort and working conditions (periods of crouching/bending to engage with pupils, physical support/assistance as well as manual handling)
- Deliver training to the whole school within fields of specialism/knowledge
- Deliver assemblies for agreed classes
- Maintain a clean, safe and tidy learning environment
- Under agreed supervision and when appropriately trained, you may also be asked to support with First Aid and medical procedures.

Essential requirements
- GCSE Maths and English A-C
- Experience of working with young people with special needs (SEND) OR experience working in a school setting
- Commitment to CPD
- Ability to use ICT, Word and Excel
- Training or expertise in a relevant curriculum or learning area (Maths, English, ICT etc)
- Experience contributing to the assessments and monitoring of pupil progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
